Empathy in Leadership

As many of you know, I am in the middle of my PhD in Leadership and Instructional Management.  I am learning about empathic leadership and I realized that I have to be better at this style of leadership.  Do you know what empathy is?

“The ability to sense how others feel and to understand their perspectives means that a leader can articulate a truly inspirational vision. A leader who misreads people, on the other hand, simply can’t inspire them” (Goleman, 2002)
