Reaching your goals through a VISION BOARD
"According to the popular book The Secret, 'The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe.'" - The Huffington Post
How to create your vision board. It is VERY simple. All you need is your browser, power point (preferred) and some thoughts/desires/dreams for this coming year.
How to create your vision board. It is VERY simple. All you need is your browser, power point (preferred) and some thoughts/desires/dreams for this coming year.
TCI TIP: You can set your power point to be vertical instead of horizontal so that makes things a little bit simpler to read and organize.
NOTE: The best thing about doing these electronically is that you can change them at anytime.
1) Think of the themes you want to cover. Items could include:
- Health
- Fitness
- Family
- Spirituality
- Self
- Household
- Friends
- Acceptance
There are so many more but I wanted to get you started.
2) I use Google so I just started searching for the words that I wanted to put on my board.
3) Select the images and drag them to your desktop (it helps to make a folder first called 2015 Vision Board) so your screen doesn't get too filled up.
4) Pick the power point template you want to use and start dragging the images onto the page. I like all the sizes to be the same size so I click on the images and change the size so they all match.
5) I don't believe that the order that you put them in matters but you can decide for yourself.
6) Once you are finished, save the power point and then also save as a pdf (in the printer section) and also as a screnn shot (jpg, png).
7) Print the document to put on your fridge or somewhere when you get up you can see it and also the jpeg on your desktop image so you can see it every day when you open up your computer!
Last year - most of my visions came true! Its no secret that if you focus yourself on a goal and you move towards it every day, you will be more likely to reach it!
HERE MY MISSION BOARD for 2015! I put this image on my desktop computer screen so I can see it every day. Vision boards are very powerful.

The bus ride that changed my life
As I was sitting on the bus sunday taking it from the Airport back to Pittsburgh, I had a revelation on the meaning of life. I know this sounds hippy-dippy etc . . . but the woman next to me was annoying me SO much that I had to think of why I was annoyed by her and what I was going to do about it!
At the end of the day, the problem with the world is that:
We assume that everyone has had the same upbringing, experiences, background, education, financial security, and moral believes that we have. We hear/see things that do not match our own sense of reality and we automatically compare them to our own lives and we claim it as a negative.
If it is assumed to us that they are not exactly like us in EVERY WAY, then they must be wrong, worse off, or dare I say it . . .less than we are.
The woman next to me, her life is COMPLETELY different than mine and while I tried to understand why she was telling the person on the phone what she was telling them, a lot came into focus.
Everyone wants to be noticed. Everyone wants to be loved. Everyone wants to feel as if the person on the other end is actually listening to them.
A lot of people say that ACCEPTANCE is the key to peace etc and I agree but it goes beyond that. EMPATHY and RECOGNITION (even if only internally) go beyond acceptance and for that 45 minutes on that bus ride . . . I changed my view of the woman next to me and my view on life in general.
That is my thought for this week! : )
